Half Shell Oyster House
Gulfport, MS
Our first Half Shell Oyster House opened in July of 2009 in Gulfport Mississippi in the historic Kremer building in downtown Gulfport. This restaurant features a unique floor plan with multiple dining levels. Downtown Gulfport was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina and many of the buildings stood empty for years after the storm. The city updated the facades of these buildings and since we opened many other restaurants and bars have opened to help make downtown Gulfport a destination for dining and nightlife. As with other Half Shell Oyster House locations the decor consists of French Quarter finishes including wrought iron, high ceilings, brick walls, classic lighting fixtures, stained glass and a copper bar. Each restaurant boasts a unique exhibition kitchen for preparing our great oyster recipes in view of our guests.

Biloxi, MS

Our second Half Shell Oyster House location opened in downtown Biloxi, Mississippi in May of 2011. Situated a block from city hall and across from the old library, this restaurant was retrofitted out of an old two story bank building on Lameuse street, just one block north of Highway 90. With outstanding views from the numerous windows on both floors, this location quickly gained a reputation for its outstanding food, atmosphere and service. Antique chandeliers and architecturally correct pieces from the French Quarter don its walls and ceilings. Our famous exhibition oyster kitchen is located downstairs and is connected to a full service bar and lounge area. Upstairs consists of another full bar with an open area in the center overlooking the staircase and multiple dining areas for semi private parties. A must see unique feature in this restaurant are the oyster shell walls in the upstairs mens room.

Sarasota, FL
Located in the heart of downtown Sarasota, Half Shell Oyster House opened its third location on January 9th, 2012. Offering the same amazing food and experience that Half Shell is known for, with a slight Floridian twist!. At the corner of Main Street and Links, the restaurant is in the heart of the downtown shopping district. Half Shell Oyster House’s classic French Quarter decor, with its period architecture and light fixtures, creates a wonderful dining experience and includes exhibition-style oyster grilling bar. With the lessons learned from building the first two Half Shells the Sarasota Half Shell may be the most beautiful one yet.
